The Cultural Services of the Ministry of Education and Culture, in collaboration with the RIALTO Theater, organized the 18th Cyprus Contemporary Dance Platform on March 2, 3 and 4. At that year's Platform, and according to its announcement, new works of contemporary dance (solo, duet or performances with more people) were presented for the first time. In this context, 7 new proposals of well-established and younger choreographers had been selected by the Selection Committee and presented at that year's Contemporary Dance Festival.

The main program featured as every year a series of parallel events organized by Dance House Lemesos under the title "Dance Throughout the Year 2018", enriching the whole event with choreographic works that were presented in the past year.
